Ingame chat Emoji's πŸ†’πŸ¦„πŸ”

#1

I have seen some emoji’s while playing the game which aren’t in the /emojis list. I was wondering how I could get these. Emoji’s I have seen were the chicken emoji :chicken: for example, the bear emoji :bear: and the frog:frog:

Please if you know help me out :stuck_out_tongue:

If I use my shortcuts, or when I paste emoji’s they won’t show up, so that isn’t an option…

#3

The only supported emojis are the ones that are automatically parsed.
You can write /emojis in the chat to get a list.

#4

Not really there are definitely some more then them. I have seen them myself as well. Either the /emojis command is not showing all or there is others you can use somehow.

#5

That’s a bug then but I’m not able to get any other emojis myself so not sure how they manage to do so then.

/emojis is showing all supported emojis.
Basically we have a whitelist of allowed characters and filter chat messages with that.
After that we just parse the chat and replace emojis so ;) becomes

We do that so you can’t write stuff like this °͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌͌ :joy:

#8

#9

Today I saw an other emoji which is not in the /emoji list.
Please tell me how people are using these if you know how to!

28

he says he can type whatever emoji he want in the chat, but when I use control-command-space on mac to pop-up my emoji keyboard, the emoji’s won’t show…

#12

That’s how I thought they were done but ctrl+command+space just produces a blank character for me too :frowning:

#13

Hmm interesting, honestly have no idea how he does it.
It should remove them by default.

#14

Are you able to see what the person inserted in the chat?
I mean, what the code behind the image is. So if you see the :chicken: that if you look into it you will see :chicken : ?

#15

it’s maybe a phone keyboard icons

#16

Yeah had a look and he just put the hex codes manually those don’t get filtered as it’s just plain text and the browser will automatically render it as emojis.

Up to you to figure out how to use the hex codes haha but prob not worth the effort.

#17

Def worth it #hex-codes <3 :joy:

#18

Well actually it’s not a chicken. It’s male chicken :chicken:
